Who we are

Joinbase (“we”, “us”) operates joinbase.dev — a founder network, launch-page and waitlist platform, and development studio. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@joinbase.dev.

Information we collect

Account data. Name, email, handle, profile details, skills and experience you add, and content you post (messages, posts, comments, job and company listings).

Waitlist signups. When you join a waitlist hosted on Joinbase (including on a founder's custom domain), we collect the email and any name, role, or company you provide, plus your signup source and referral information. You do not need an account to join a waitlist.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store billing status and invoice records; we never store full card details.

Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) for security and abuse prevention, and — only if you consent — error-monitoring events via Sentry.

How we use information

To operate the platform, deliver waitlist updates you asked for, process payments, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve the product. We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Legal bases (GDPR) and your consent

Where the GDPR applies, we process data on these bases: contract (operating your account and subscriptions), consent (waitlist updates, error monitoring — withdrawable at any time), and legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention, service communications).

Waitlists run by founders

Founders use Joinbase to collect interest in their own products. When you join a founder's waitlist, your signup is shared with that founder so they can launch to you. Every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link, which also lets you delete your signup entirely — no account required.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers below, to run the platform. Each processes data under its own data-processing agreement.

  • Supabase Database, authentication, and file storage (United States).
  • Vercel Application hosting and content delivery (United States).
  • Stripe Payment processing and billing (United States).
  • Resend Transactional and notification email delivery (United States).
  • Sentry Error monitoring (only with your consent) (United States).
  • Slack Internal operational notifications to our team (United States).

International transfers

Our providers are based in the United States. Where data originates in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, transfers rely on our providers' safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted when you delete your account. Waitlist signups are kept until you unsubscribe and delete them, the founder removes them, or the waitlist is deleted. Payment and invoice records are kept as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years). Server logs are retained for a short operational window.

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Residents of California and other US states also have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal data as defined by those laws, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Self-serve options:

  • Account holders can delete their account (and all associated data) from network settings.
  • Waitlist signups can unsubscribe or permanently delete their entry via the link in any waitlist email — or contact us and we'll do it.

For anything else, email hello@joinbase.dev. We respond within 30 days. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in and security. Error monitoring (Sentry) only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner; you can change your mind by clearing the “jb-consent” cookie. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Age requirement

Joinbase is for people 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be announced in the product.
